The 8th annual Archer Film Festival will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills and May 23, 2019 at the Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles. The Archer Film Festival is a high school student film festival dedicated to empowering female filmmakers. Our goal is not to exclude men, but rather to include women. As a result, the festival is open to all high school student filmmakers. Our first annual festival in 2012 featured keynote speaker, Hunger Games producer, Nina Jacobson. Other past keynote speakers include Vanessa Morrison, President of Fox Studios Animation, “Legally Blonde” novelist Amanda Brown, director JJ Abrams, and producer Kathleen Kennedy. Previous Panelists: Vanessa Morrison, Amanda Brown, Nina Jacobson, Melissa Rosenberg, Bonnie Arnold, Beth Osisek, Kristine Belson, Kelly Bush Novak, Robbie Brenner, Stacy Smith, Ida Ziniti, Mindy Sterling, Bela Bajaria, Cathy Schulman, Camryn Manheim, Rena Ronson, Josh Malina, Zanne Devine, Dawn Hudson, Kat Foster, Mimi Gianopulos, Karen Baker Landers, Carrie Moore, Melanie Mayron, and Dawn Steinberg among others.
